Structure of Courses Diploma in Medical Qigong Part ONE - aims at enabling the student to develop an understanding of the basics of TCM and Medical Qigong, and become competent to a foundation level in a series of exercises for self-healing and treating simple conditions.
Diploma in Medical Qigong Part TWO- the aim of this more advanced course is to enable the participant to increase their understanding of TCM and become competent to a high level in previously learned and further exercises. Those qualifying on this course will able to diagnose and design treatments, and generate, store and emit healing Chi. They will be able to emit healing Chi and prescribe exercises for a wide range of conditions.

The practical content of the courses will be delivered in blocks of days at the School.
The underpinning knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) will be delivered through ten Units of Home Study. It is important that you have easy access to Internet and Email.
Assessment of underpinning knowledge will be in two forms:
· Self-assessment using papers provided for each Home Study Unit
· Summative Assessment during the practical sessions at the School.
Supervision through submission and assessment of case notes after Part ONE and Part TWO practical Sessions at the School
Practical Sessions
PART ONE (6 days)
An Introduction to TCM, Introduction to the Energy System and Point Location (20 points).
Therapy specific Practical content, Preparation for First Supervision.
Assessment, Point location (a further 20 points) Treatments with volunteers
PART TWO (6days)
Therapy specific Practical Content, Preparation for Final Supervision.
Assessment, Point Location (a further 20 points)
TCM diagnosis including Pulses and Tongue Treatments with volunteers
Award of Diploma Diplomas will be awarded to those who have attained at least a 60% passmark in the assessment of Practical Competence, underpinning knowledge of TCM, the Journal and in the Supervision stage.
Students may apply for re-assessment of any module in which they fail to achieve the required standard.
Students must have attended all the sessions based at the School.
COURSE BOOKS You will be provided with a short list of required course books with your letter of Acceptance onto the course.
The Journal
All students are expected to keep a Journal recording a daily account of their learning activities and their development in the practice of TCM . This will also form part of your assessment.
ASSESSMENT The assessment of student progress will be based mainly on a continuous process throughout the course. Our School approach is to make this process as transparent and stress-free as possible. An assessment and feedback, multiple-choice question paper is part of each practical session at the School It enables the students to be aware of their own progress and any areas of study that need particular attention.
Assessment and feedback of the practical content of the course is an ongoing process with tests on the last weekend of the course. Students are given a clear indication of the standards that they need to reach..
