Although there are many different forms, the practice of Medical Qigong can be divided broadly into two main kinds of activities: Firstly the flowing exercises (similar to but generally simpler than Tai Chi) that harmonise the energy (Chi or Qi) in our bodies and ensure a good circulation of Chi and Blood. These exercises, grouped into sets, can be used for self-help or prescribed to help others. Secondly the use of internal and external exercises to enable the practitioner to generate, store and emit healing Chi for the benefit of self and others. To be competent in both requires consistent practice and an understanding of the fundamentals of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Participants on these courses will be expected to maintain daily home practice of Qigong Exercises Anthony Horrocks, the Course Director is a member of the World Academic Society of Medical Qigong, which is based in Beijing, China. ___________________ |
