MEDICAL QIGONG (chi-gong) is a form of healing that has been widely used in China for thousands of years. Like the other parts of Chinese Medicine it works on our body's energy system. It is used on its own or as a complement to western medicine in the treatment and prevention of a wide range of condiions.
Medical Qigong has two major components - the first is the ability to select and teach Medical Qigong exercises that are appropriate to the condition of the patient. This aims at providing a form of self help - normally carried out in between treatments When a series of treatments has been completed the Medical Qigong exercises can continue to be practiced as a form of preventative medicine.
The second important set of skills for the Medical Qigong practitioner is the ability to generate, store, move and emit healing energy (Qi) in a controlled way.
Combined with Traditional Chinese Diagnosis, Medical Qigong becomes a powerful healing therapy, able to treat a wide range of physical and mental-emotional conditions.
Our Medical Qigong courses enable participants to become competent in both these imposrtant sets of skills..
These courses are run by Anthony Horrocks FCIPD, MCMA, FEA, DIP TUINA, CERT. Beijing University of Chinese medicine, Memberof the World Academic Association of Medical Qigong.
He trained with teachers in the UK, USA and China, and has been practicing for 15 years.
